Claire's Splatter Effect Swatches & Review
Claire's UK has been bringing out some amazing polishes recently. I have no idea who is behind their new direction but they're a genius. The bottle shape change has also helped the products look a lot more professional. The colours are very similar to the indie polishes us UK girls have dreamed of getting for a reasonable price for ages (or is that just me?).
Their splatter effect range is stunning and their 3 newest polishes 'Jazz', 'Sprinkles' and 'Hundreds and Thousands' are gorgeous and the names are the cutest.
'Jazz' has a cornflower blue / lilac base with pink, blue, yellow and white glitters. BUT it also has these odd darker glitter pieces in it that remind me a little of Oreo crumbs. It is very glitter heavy and is therefore a bit of a pain to apply. However, a little bit of care, some thin coats with plenty of drying time between layers and a good topcoat leaves you with near perfect application. I used 3 coats for the swatch below and 1 coat of Seche Vite topcoat.
'Sprinkles' has a neon Barbie pink creme base with blue, green, yellow and white glitters in it. This polish pretty much sings in the sunshine and looks gorgeous on. It is also UV reactive and glows beautifully. I used 3 thin coats for the swatch below and 1 coat of Seche Vite topcoat.
'Hundreds and Thousands' has a neon coral creme base with blue, green, red and white glitters in it. This is another polish that looks fantastic in the sunlight. As you can see from the picture my camera had trouble with the brightness! This polish is also UV reactive. I used 3 thin coats for the swatch below and topped it with 1 coat of Seche Vite.
These polishes are available from Claire's for £3.50 each.
